植物と自分とでどのようなものが創り出せるのか。そんなことを考えながら日々植物に向き合っています。
I am a master of Sogetsu style ikebana living in Izumisano, Osaka.
It's been 10 years since I've been addicted to the fun and depth of ikebana.
When I see plants and flowers, I always think what kind of things I can create with them.
I would like you to enjoy IKEBANA world.
いけばなのイメージって？
みなさん、「いけばな」にどのようなイメージをお持ちでしょうか。
私自身、いけばなを始める前は「いけばなは古典的で和室にいけるもの、日本の伝統文化」というイメージくらいしかありませんでした。実際にそのような印象を持たれている方が、多いかと思います。もちろん日本の伝統文化という側面もありますが、実は、いけばなって、想像以上にダイナミックでアーティスティックで自由なものなんです。そこが私がいけばなに魅了され続けている一つの理由です。「いけばなにはこういう側面もあるんだ、これもいけばななんだ」という、驚くべきいけばなの側面も発信していきたいと私は思っています。
お花が好きな方はもちろん、現代アートが好きな方にもぜひ、いけばなの世界をのぞいて欲しいと思っています。
What kind of image do you have of "Ikebana"?
Before I started Ikebana, I had only the image that Ikebana is a classic and traditional Japanese culture. I think that there are many people who actually have such an impression. Of course, there is also the aspect of Japanese traditional culture in Ikebana, but in reality, Ikebana is more dynamic, artistic, and free than you imagine. That is one reason why I continue to be fascinated by Ikebana. I would like to convey the surprising aspect of Ikebana.
I would like to show the world of ikebana not only for those who like flowers but also for those who like modern art.
